Welcome to First Assembly of God

Meet Our Senior Pastor

Lawrence Lacy

Welcome to Hollywood First Assembly of God's website. We are so pleased that you visited us today. We here at Hollywood First AG believe first and foremost that Jesus lives forever!! We believe that Jesus came in the form of a man, lived amoung men, reached and taught the "Good News" to all that would hear. Performed great miracles, suffered a brutal death and on the third day rose from the dead. And He now is seated at the right hand of God Almighty. It is because of these events that we at Hollywood First assembly of God join thousands of others who are of like precious faith in proclaiming that "Jesus is Lord" and Savior of all mankind! We are a spirit filled, pentecostal denomination, fully ascribing to God's Holy Word (Bible) and the manifestations (nine gifts) of the Holy Ghost. we invite you to come and fellowship with us if you live in or are visiting the South Florida area. We have services on Sunday morning at 10:45 AM and Wednesday evening Adult Bible Study at 7:00 PM. Missionettes (for girls) and the Royal Rangers (for boys) also meet on the same evening. We also have Kid's Chruch that meets on Sunday mornings at 10:45 AM and a nursery for your convienence. The apostle Paul wrote in romans chapter 10 verse 13 "Whosoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." In these troubling and disasteris times, only those who choose to call on Jesus's name will be saved. in doing so Jesus promises, to bring, peace, love, joy and assurance. But above all these He promises eternal life with Him.

May the Lord Bless you and keep you

Articles & Resources for Church Workers

  • Starting a Greeter Program
Four years ago I accepted the challenge of evangelism chairperson for our church. One of the first programs the pastor and I developed was the Sunday morning greeter program.
  • Motivating the Right Person into the Right Ministry
One of the greatest challenges for most leaders is selecting and motivating the right people into the right ministry positions in hopes of minimizing turnover and frustration. Even in the smaller church with limited personnel, it is important to coordinate people and ministry as much as possible.
  • “I TRIED, BUT NO ONE EVER CALLED ME”
“I tried, but no one ever called me” are painful words for a leader who has much work to do and not enough people willing to do it. These words are painful for the person who wanted to contribute, but was never called. These are also painful words for a person who is committed to helping people connect and contribute in meaningful ways within the church.
